Hand Engraved Custom Knives. Renowned knife maker Russ Kommer sent me these three beauties and asked me to do some deep relief engraving on them. The really cool thing is that Russ gives me carte blanche when it comes to the design. First thing I always do is to just stare at the lovely work he does and let the design ideas just start to come until I feel sure that I have matched the particular knife with a design that will enhance it. The knife with the Celtic design was a gift and he did ask me to engrave initials into the pins in the handle. The top knife features a pretty rare sheep horn handle and it takes a very skilled knifemaker like Russ to pull this off like he did! The center knife is an ivory micarda handle and the bottom knife features a walrus jawbone handle. The bolsters are all stainless steel and the blades that Russ hand crafts are the best in the business. Always nice to be able to hand engrave such pretty knives!
