Rolex Caseback Hand Engraved with Gold inlay
This project was done for a really great customer who wanted to personalize his Rolex watch. A 24K Gold inlaid 3 letter monogram with a hand engraved border of oak leaves and acorns inlaid in gold. Below are some progress pics showing how the gold inlay is done. Digging out the cavity, undercutting the edges and raising teeth in the bottom so the gold firmly attaches to the stainless steel. All done by hand under a microscope!
